John Dewhitt

Born and raised in San Jose, John DeWhitt is a 5th generation Californian. His great-grandmother was a member of the Gower family of Hollywood, from which Gower Studios got its name. A Keystone Kops movie was filmed around the family home on Gower Avenue in North Hollywood. John was introduced to filmmaking by Michael Andres, his Willow Glen High School teacher. John worked in many of Andres' films, both as crew and cast, and earned an AA in film at DeAnza College with close friend and collaborator Travis Braz. He is working on a variety of productions after earning a degree in CA/TV with an emphasis in Cinematography from CSU Northridge.
