Actor, theater director, head of the actor's association and playwright, Ludvig Müller was a man of many talents. Born in Bergen, Norway, as son of ship master Berent Müller and writer Amalie Alver Skram, he worked as a businessman for a few years before becoming an actor. He was at The National Theater from 1899 to 1912, then theater director in Trondheim 1913-16. Müller played only in one movie, but one of his stage plays was filmed in 1926: Den nye lensmannen / The New Sheriff. Twice married, both times to an actress. Müller died suddenly in Germany in 1922, only 54 years old.
