Sam Herath

Sam Herath is an Australian Director, Producer and Screenwriter who has directed and produced a number of short films and web series including; A Simple Event (2010), One Eye for Mum, One Eye for Dad (2017), One Way Ticket (2018), Mia (2019), Reencuentro (2019) and Heroes of the End Times (2020). Herath also works as a Cinematographer/ Director of Photography with DOP credits on Girl/City (2006), Decide (2010), One Way Ticket (2018), Mia (2019) and Reencuentro (2019). She was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka and has lived in different parts of the world. Herath began making films as a teenager and later pursued her passion for the industry by graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Media, specializing in Film Production, later graduating with a Juris Doctor in Law. Herath has also worked in advertising and is a qualified lawyer who has practiced in Criminal and Family law. Herath works on film projects around the world and resides in Perth, Australia.
