Biography

Born and raised in South Louisiana, Gayla Marie de Guise ("singer/songwriter, Gayla LeJeune") moved to Los Angeles in 1984 to pursue acting and began writing songs and performing soon after. This took her to Austin, Texas, where she lived for 2 years, and to many other wonderful places in Europe, Australia, Argentina and Quebec. A lover of the French language (her parents speak/spoke Cajun French), Gayla recorded 2 Louisiana-themed CDs - "Joie de Vivre" (includes a version of Willie Nelson's "Crazy," sung in French) and "Gumbo Rodeo." She has just released her third collection "Gypsy Love."
