Born on April 11, 1993 to William and Patricia Scanland. From the age of six he had an interest in acting after seeing a play at a local theatre. He didn't start thinking about a career in acting until he started paying attention to the happy people on television shows such as The Cosby Show. He really didn't know how to start into acting at his young age until his Second Grade teacher mentioned to him about joining the school drama club where he started becoming closer friends to now Soap Opera and Broadway-known actor Daniel Manche. After the Sixth Grade, Will left Public School for undisclosed reasons and started at a small private school named Chi Alpha Academy that was nearby but they did not have an official drama program, so for 2 years he only did the little skits that the small program put on. After Eighth Grade, Chi Alpha Academy closed down so he decided to go to Central Christian School. There he joined the Music and Drama Department where he was in his first real play, The Chronicles of Narnia, where he played the part of Father Christmas. In the Summer of 2009 he heard about an audition for a new version of Dracula at Playhouse In The Park, which was in the next town. After the audition he got a call to play Quincey Morris in the production. Since then he has been in several more productions and as of October 2012 is working on another play for the Playhouse In The Park. In October 2009 he also auditioned for and received a part in a local Independent film called The Night Shift making his screen debut. Although he enjoys the idea of being a film actor he feels his true calling is the stage. He went to the University of Mobile in 2011 and studied Musical Theatre but left after a year. He is now attending the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City.
