Aimée-Lee Curran

Aimee-Lee Xu Hsien Curran is an award-winning Writer/Director with a flair for telling powerful, emotive stories; working closely with actors to craft truthful and nuanced performances. Her short films, music videos and commercial works are unified by a bold visual style that reflects her meticulous attention to detail and love of production design. Aimee-Lee's short films have gone from strength to strength, screening at over 25 festivals internationally; Jump winning Best Short Film at the Academy Award-accredited Palm Springs International ShortFest, the Provincetown International Film Fest and Blue Mountains Film Fest, and being programmed by Tribeca Film Festival and Flickerfest on their United Airlines and Virgin Australia in-flight entertainment channels. Aimee-Lee completed a Director's Attachment on Kim Farrant's feature film Strangerland, starring Nicole Kidman, Hugo Weaving and Joseph Fiennes. She has directed music videos for a host of Aria-award nominated artists including Thundamentals, Hellions, and Ruby Boots.
