Biography

He is a Film Academic in Spain, member of the European Film Academy and member of Diboos, the Spanish Federation of Animation Production. In 1995 he founded the production company Forma Animada, which has a team of 20 people nowadays, and has two core business lines: in-house productions and audiovisual, digital and animation services, with a large portfolio of clients nationally and internationally. Enrique F. combines his work as a CEO of Forma Animada, with the production of the company in-house projects. In the field of documentaries, he produced the TV series The Other Route (5 x 26 ') (1998), aired on AXN Channel, Travel Channel, Localia TV, ETB and France Televisions, Mexico and China; A Toda Costa (5 x 26') for Canal Sur TV; and 30 Years of Darkness (80')(2011) an animated documentary film co-produced with La Claqueta PC and Irusoin, that was nominated for a Goya for Best Documentary and was awarded with several Andalusian and international film prices. In 3D animation, Enrique F. Guzmán first projects were the TV series Mocland (13x13')(2006) and Andaluna and Samir (13 x 13' / 13 x 90'') (2007), for Canal Sur TV (Spain). Andaluna and Samir was not only produced but also directed by F. Guzman. His first feature film produced was Mission in Mocland (83')(2008), with a successful theatrical release by Manga Films and wide international distribution. Then he produced the animated 3D webseries Miscelanea (2009) and the TV series Super Abby (52x7')(2011), coproduced by Canal Sur Televisión, which was broadcasted in 30 countries. F. Guzman is producer and author of the original idea of Alfred & Anna (15') (2012), nominated for a Goya for Best Animated Short Film. Alfred and Anna's soundtrack was composed by Roque Baños, one of the most awarded Spanish Film composers (El Niño, Celda 211, El otro lado de la cama) 3 times awarded with a Goya, two times preselected for the Oscar to best soundtrack (Evil Dead, Oldboy) and creator of soundtracks for Hollywood such as In the Heart of the Sea (Ron Howard). Alfred and Anna was premiered on Canal+ Spain, aired on TVE, TV channels from USA and Japan and selected in 20 international festivals. It won awards as Best Soundtrack in the International Film Festival Bajo la Luna Moon - Islantilla, Best Animated Short in Alhama City Film Festival, Eibar Short Film Festival Asier Errasti or the International Short Film Festival ATENE @ S Fescora, among others. In 2014 Enrique F. Guzmán co-directed with Juanma Suarez the short film A lonely Sun Story, a coproduction of Forma Animada and Scope Producciones, also with music composed by Roque Baños and collaborating actors Mario Casas and Maria Valverde. It was nominated for a Goya for Best Animated Short. In 2015 he is directing the animated documentary Oleum (60') with the support of the Department of Culture of Junta de Andalucía. As a producer, he is developing the feature 3D animation film Super Abby in Villainopolis (85'), coproduced by the Dutch production company Submarine BV and also Alfred & Anna Save the Music (90'), in pre-production stage, which has been selected by ICEX and Fapae to represent Spanish animation at MIFA (Annecy, June 2015)
