Christopher Grant Harvey is a South African-born writer & director. At the age of 16, he began his film career in the back garden, experimenting on short films with friends. The early 2000's digital revolution allowed many filmmakers to shoot on miniDV tape. Despite the lack of visual fidelity compared to 35mm film, miniDV enabled many weekend "backyard" projects to get off the ground relatively cheaply. These backyard projects showcased a knack for kinetic cinematography and editing techniques to make the most of meagre production values. He received his bachelor's degree in film & television production from the Motion Picture Academy of Pretoria, South Africa. After the international film festival success with his short film Tears In The Rain (2017), he has continued his intense desire to tell engaging stories with unique projects in development.
