Dushant Kirpalani

Raised by a single working mom in colonial Hong Kong, Dushant Kirpalani aka Du was often left wonderfully unsupervised and spent his afternoons entertaining himself in multicultural malls, and city parks. At the age of twelve, Du's family moved to Bangalore, India. After attending several schools, Du went on to cut his teeth as a writer in advertising as a junior copywriter working on jewelry brochures and print ads. The young writer was then staffed as a sketch comedy writer on THE GREAT INDIAN COMEDY SHOW where he wrote on over 100 episodes. He then relocated to Los Angeles for the MFA Screenwriting program at NYFA. After the program, Du worked as a stand-up comedian, opening for headliners as he continued to hone his craft on the page. As one of the finalists of the ABC-Disney Fellowship, Du's original TV pilots led him to writing on the animated show, PUPPY DOG PALS on Disney Junior. Du later joined the staff of WWE's SmackDown Live and the MGM series THE BAXTERS. He is currently repped by The Coronel Group.
