Ruben Soriquez played mafia gangster Santino in General Commander starring Steven Seagal, released by Lionsgate and starred in 4 film 3 of which released in US (2019). Born in Bologna (Italy), Ruben Maria Soriquez started as a musician before devoting himself to filmmaking and acting. Ruben studied filmmaking at the New York Film Academy and acting with Actors' Studio of New York's teacher Danny Lemmo (acting for films) and Emanuele Montagna of the Colli School of Theatre of Bologna. As an actor he has won several awards for portraying a missionary in his film "Of Sinners and Saints" which depicts poverty and violence on women and children in the Philippines. Recently he has appeared in 88 episodes of a prime time Philippine soap opera and in General Commander starring Steven Seagal. As a filmmaker Ruben loves to craft different aspects of his films: from writing to directing to editing. His last work "Pandemiocracy" (2021) is a documentary shot during the lock downs in US, Europe and Asia.
