Born in Darwin Australia in May 1963, Salvatore Finocchiaro has always enjoyed movies from a young age. As a teenager when Salvatore's father purchased a Chinon Super 8 camera on a trip to Italy in the 1970s; Salvatore jumped at the chance to become the family's official cameraman and had very much enjoyed shooting family movies and creating experimental home movies with the camera. Over subsequent years as other priorities imposed themselves, Salvatore was not able to pursue his passion for making home movies, so his desires lay dormant. After the birth of his first child, he purchased his first consumer digital video camera a JVC GZ-MC500 and his passion for home movies was immediately re-kindled.
In 2007 the Sienna Productions Company was formed in Darwin. The company has been involved in a variety of projects over the years including the recording of small events, the production of corporate videos, commercials, short films and freelance video work. And more importantly has now allowed Salvatore to pursue his passion for making short films.
