Biography

Aly Muritiba was born in 1979. He is graduated in History, a specialist in Communication and Culture and studied Cinema. He is a partner at independent production company Grafo Audiovisual. Screenwriter and director, Muritiba has directed nine short films, and two feature film. Its main achievements are the short film "Pátio", winner of best short film at It's All True, Int'l Documentary Film Festival, and selected in Cannes (Semaine de la Critique 2013) "A Fábrica", Oscars short listed, and winner of 68 film awards in international festivals. His first feature film "To my beloved" won The Global Fimmaking Award in Sundence and was present in San Sebastian Film Festival 2015, Chicago Film Festival 2015 and won the Zenith Silver in Festival des Film du Monde de Montreal (Canada). "Tarântula" his other short film was in the competition in Orizzonti - Venice Film Festival. "Rust" his new feature film received three awards at the Cine En Construcción in San Sebastian Festival 2017.
