Michael Hehl

Michael was born in South Germany near Munich in 1985. After graduating from high school he absolved a social year in a psychiatry between 2006 and 2007. Several internships and assistant jobs for professional film- and theatre productions in Germany follow up from 2007 until 2009. Since 2009 he is studying film- and theatre sciences (Bachelor and Master) at the LMU university of Munich (graduation in 2014). Since 2006 he is making independent short and feature films that were invited to International Film Festivals. His first feature length documentary in the form of a social and urban city- portrait about the metropole Istanbul premiered in 2009 and had its German theatrical release in March of 2010. Since January of 2013 he and his wife manage the temperclayfilm production & distribution company in Munich. In the moment he is preparing his first fictional feature film and distributing international independent feature films.
