Sharon Shattuck

Sharon Shattuck is an Emmy-nominated documentary film director and podcast host. Her feature film Picture A Scientist (2020) was an official selection of the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival. From This Day Forward (2015) was a New York Times Critic's Pick, broadcast on POV (PBS) and was distributed on Netflix, SundanceNow, Amazon, iTunes and VHX. She's the co-host of the Gimlet/Spotify podcast Conviction: American Panic, and the co-creator of the New York Times Op-Docs science series 'Animated Life,' which was nominated for a 2016 Creative Arts Emmy. Her work has appeared on PBS, Netflix, National Geographic Channel, Vice, The New York Times, The Atlantic, Slate, ProPublica, Gimlet/Spotify, and Radiolab. She has degrees in forest ecology and journalism.
