Richard Naylor

Richard is a writer, producer and director represented by Julia Mills at Berlin Associates. He has produced the last four series of legendary sci-fi sitcom Red Dwarf for UKTV. Richard got started in the industry after graduating from the Met Film School with First Class Honours in practical filmmaking. His graduation film was selected as one of five films to be screened at the BFI to industry professionals and led to Channel 4 commissioning him to write a treatment and pilot script. Richard then co-produced 'Red Dwarf X' for Channel Dave and the following year Produced 'Over to Bill' for BBC One's Comedy Playhouse. In 2016/2017, Richard produced Red Dwarf XI & XII for Channel Dave. Both series went on to win 'The British Comedy Guide's Best Returning Sitcom' award. Richard co-wrote and directed The Beach House, which won 'Best UK Short' at the 2019 London Independent Film Festival and 'Best British Short' at the UK Film Festival. He recently produced Red Dwarf: The Promised Land, a feature-length special.
