A native of Akron, Ohio, Vicki Speegle has held an eclectic mix of occupations to support her writing habit, including a 4-year term tracking submarines in the U.S. Navy, and assistant to an eccentric New York City artist. Her infatuation with writing began at the age of five when she sent a love letter to Donny Osmond.
In 2009 Vicki scripted a feature film project for Applause Films and her original screenplay "Loved Ones," which was a finalist in the Bluecat Screenplay Competition, was optioned by Babcock Jedeikin Productions and Back Attitude Productions.
A graduate of New York University, Vicki has several screenplays to her credit, many of which have placed in competition, including 2nd place on Francis Ford Coppola's Zoetrope.com and the semi-finals of Chesterfield and Women in Film. Her short film "Older" won 2nd place in the Pioneer Theatre Short Film Slam in New York City. She has also written radio scripts for Wynton Marsalis' Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra. Vicki lives and writes in New Jersey. She is still waiting for Donny's response.
