Biography

Rob Maigret is the Senior Vice President of Global Creative at Disney Interactive, the digital entertainment and games segment of The Walt Disney Company. In this role, Maigret collaborates with product and content teams to ensure that online experiences are elegant, high-quality, and relevant for Disney guests, as well as consistent and connected across the globe. In his former role at Disney, as SVP of Innovation, he launched the group (later renamed Disney Interactive Labs) responsible for harnessing emerging technologies to develop products aimed to enhance Disney's online experiences. He co-founded DigiSynd in 2007 with Oliver Luckett, which was acquired by The Walt Disney Company in 2008. This team of social media experts continue to manage Disney's brand presence in the social media space. The distribution footprint consists of over 300 million Page Likes on Facebook, millions of followers on Twitter and billions of video views on YouTube. Previously, Maigret served as the Chief Technology Officer at Revver.com, where he was responsible for the design and execution of the company's revenue-sharing approach to user-generated video digital syndication. Prior to Revver, he was the Senior Vice President of Technology at iBlast, an early pioneer of digital broadcasting. During his tenure at iBlast, he was instrumental in the design and deployment of the largest terrestrial datacast system in the United States. Early in his career, he rose through the ranks at PolyGram/Universal Music to become one of the company's youngest directors of information technology. He was a key player in the technical integration of the two companies, which ultimately led to the formation of the largest worldwide music conglomerate. In 2008, Maigret and his co-producers received an Honorary Webby Award for the social reality game Nowheremen, where he served both as a writer, actor and executive producer. He holds a BS in Performing Arts from Boston's Emerson College.
