Jason Levering

Biography

Jason Levering is a director, writer, and actor living in Omaha, NE. He studied at Hastings College and graduated with a B.A. in Theatre and Psychology. In 2005, Levering co-founded the Omaha Film Festival, for which he serves as the Executive Director. In 2014, Levering directed the first ever stage adaptation of Stephen King's The Shining, which he co-wrote with fellow writer Aaron Sailors. Levering's feature film directorial debut, Black Luck, which he co-directed with David Weiss, is being distributed by Indie Rights. In 2017, Levering and Weiss formed Crook Factory Productions. Levering has also co-written a screenplay with celebrated author Dan Chaon, based on stories from Chaon's short story collection Stay Awake.
