Violetta D'Agata

In 2001 Violetta D'Agata started her filmmaking career as a 2nd assistant director on an independent movie over her summer vacation in Rome. It was her 20th birthday when she met the director Paolo Scarfó at a party and ended up working on his movie "L'utimo Piano" and fell in love with the filmmaking process! After this experience, she worked her way into the filmmaking world covering many different roles until she settled as an editor and camera operator, for the production company Scarfilm in Rome for 6 years. She moved then to London, Brussels and ended up in New York where she studied 1 year Filmmaking at the New York Film Academy and discovered her true talent in Cinematography and Directing. She spent six years in New York working as a Cinematographer and Director. Her previous education in painting and her fascination with light and the art of color and composition have proven to be a potent combination in her work. Violetta in now based in Spain and continues to work internationally. She has shot campaigns in New York, LA, Qatar, Barcelona, Madrid, Brussels, London, Ibiza and Rome for Burger King, Vice - HBO, BBC, Fiat, Ducati, Ferrari, EU, RAI and many others. Her narrative, commercial and documentary work has earned its way into internationally recognized festivals.
