Aditya Kelgaonkar is a Writer, Director and a Cinematographer.
In a career of thirteen years in the film industry, he has worked in various capacities on projects varying from feature films, Ad. films (TVCs), documentaries, plays, short films and international TV shows.
A Computer Engineer by qualification, his career path saw a shift when he started doing theatre in college. He wrote and directed plays which won awards at several inter-collegiate competitions.
His short film 'Sound Proof' (2018) starring Soha Ali Khan and Vinay Pathak premiered in New York Indian Film Festival. It won the award for the Best Film in 3 festivals - International Documentary and Short film festival in Kerala, Ottawa Indian Film Festival and Bay Area South Asian Film Festival. It also received an honourable mention in Asia South-East short film festival in Cambodia and was awarded for the Best Actor in Indian film festival Cincinnati. The film traveled to 17 festivals so far and has got awarded in 5.
Aditya has worked on several critically acclaimed projects (in various capacities) including the multiple award-winning documentary 'Gulabi Gang' (Chief AD) and the magnum opus 'Jodha Akbar' (Assistant DoP). He was the Associate Director on the film 'Mantra' starring Rajat Kapoor, Kalki Koechlin which is on Netflix.
In 2014 he was selected for the Directors' Lab, organized by National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) of India for 12 most promising Directors in the country.
He is working on his Debut feature film script 'Mandap Middle-Class Murder' which was a part of the prestigious NFDC Screenwriters' lab 2019.
