Laksmi Hedemark

Laksmi Hedemark is a director, writer, and actor. In 2017 she began her career as a director with a collaboration with her partner Shantell Martin and DP co-director Charlie Nordstrom, "Concrete Night", which premiered on Nowness and later was a part of BAM's Driven To Create initiative during their Fall 2018 pre-show line up. Her first narrative short film, "Hey Stranger", debuted at the 2019 Flickers Rhode Island International Film Festival where her co-writer and director Andrew Fuchs won first prize for the Directorial Discovery Award. Laksmi's latest film "In The Room" which she wrote, produced, and stars alongside Denis O'Hare, Nicholas Pinnock, and Laith Nakli is in post-production.
