Sasha Filipovich

Sasha Filipovich grew up in Houston, Texas where she focused her early studies in classical ballet and telling stories through movement. Sasha danced professionally with the Lake Erie Ballet in Erie, Pennsylvania and Michele Brangwen Dance Ensemble in Houston, TX. She was a ballet instructor with Houston Ballet's Ben Stevenson Academy and the Ballet Mistress for Houston Repertoire Ballet, where she choreographed short ballets for the company. Sasha shifted her work from dance to communications and marketing after moving to Los Angeles in 2008. There, she was part of the marketing team for companies such as Vans, Joe's Jeans, and Sony Pictures Entertainment. She discovered a new way of storytelling after moving to Canada in 2017. Since moving to Vancouver, BC, Sasha has produced several web series and short films including "The Whistler," which was accepted into several international film festivals. She has also written and directed the short film, "Done With You."
