Crystal Stevens began her work as a script reader for Academy Award winners Lee Grant and Joe Feury prior to attending college as a double-major in English and Comm. Arts at Marymount Manhattan College in NYC.
She later served as a Script Analyst at Raw Films and also served Director of Development at Fever-Dreams Films.
Between 2004-2009, she worked on numerous ghost writing assignments, working on screenplays in all genres in addition to script reading/development work.
Trendy Pictures began development on her story, "Organized Criminal." In 2011, the prequel/short film was shot in LA, with Ms. Stevens acting as both writer and producer.
The short film premiered at The Philadelphia Independent Film Festival and won Best Short Film.
As of September, 2012, "Organized Criminal," was also selected to be in competition at The International Film Festival Manhattan and The Paso Robles Digital Film Festival as well.
"Organized Criminal" won Best Short Film at Paso Robles and Ms. Stevens was awarded The Independent Achievement Award at the International Film Festival Manhattan in.
"Organized Criminal" also made both quarter-finalist and semi-finalist at NexTV's Indie Film Competition and also repeated the same advancements in the Video and Pitch Competition as well in 2013, but advanced to finalist as well. In addition, the film was accepted at festivals in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Seattle and Florida.
"Organized Criminal" will be distributed by Shorts International.
At the end of 2013, she formed a new production company, Epic Artists Films. She also became an Official Judge at The Independent Film Festival in NYC.
