Julia Liu

Julia Liu is a Providence based director, cinematographer and visual artist creating work that promotes and supports diversity in front of and behind the lens. Her passion for visual storytelling started through drawing comics, evolving into filmmaking as a way to bring her illustrations to life. Liu is a contributing director to the New York Times Op-Doc Series and is a Doc NYC 40 Under 40 Honoree. She is a member of the International Cinematographers Guild and a graduate of Brown University.
