Ciaran Michael Vejby

Biography

Ciaran Michael Vejby was born and raised in Sonoma County in Northern California, where he began writing and directing at an early age. His passion for filmmaking and its history flourished in high school, prompting him to pursue his Master of Fine Arts degree at University of Southern California, School of Cinematic Arts. While there, he directed, produced and edited a variety of films, including the CMF Best Picture nominated "Zombie Towne," Palm Springs Short Fest official selection "You Talk and I'll Shoot" starring Zach McGowan ("Shameless," "Black Sails") and the Burbank International Short Festival TV Pilot "Boots," winner of the 2013 Best Student Film. During his education at USC, Ciaran served as First Assistant Director on the Terence Malick produced "Red Wing," starring Bill Paxton, Luke Perry and Frances Fisher. He also served as Production Assistant and Second Unit on "Phantom" starring Ed Harris, William Fitchner and David Duchovny. Since graduation, he has served as Post Production on "Gator Boys" and Assistant Editor for an upcoming Kurt Cobain Documentary. Ciaran resides in Los Angeles where he works as a freelance editor and writer/director.
