Saqlain Rizvi was a successful film director of Pakistan. He started his career in the early era after " India and Pakistan" partition. He was born on 15th August 1936 in Lahore. His father was a leading businessman of that times and Saqlain started his career by his father's production " Jagga" in 1955. This was the era when Pakistani films started attracting the large audiences to cinemas. He was one of the early filmmakers who contributed to lay the foundations of Pakistani film industry. In the later years he eastablished himself as a successful Lollywood film director. Saqlain's urge for creative control over his films always pushed him for something creative. His film "Pardes" was unique in the way that it had filmic scenes of " Khana E Kaaba" through soecial arrangements made with the "Saudi Government". He died the natural death on 13th August 2007. Hus active film career spans over 22 years and vital contribution towards the formation of Lollywood film Industry will always be remembered with love and respect.
