Steven first started studying film during college at Towson University in 2005. He left Towson to pursue an education in video production at The Sheffield Institute for the Recording Arts (SIRA) in Phoenix, MD.
After graduating from SIRA in 2008 he created his first business, video and film production company LBK Productions. After 3 years under LBK Productions and working at various production houses creating award winning shorts, features and documentary films, Steven landed a full-time position as the lead cinematographer and editor for the AFL-CIO in Washington D.C. and closed LBK Productions.
In early 2012 he created his 2nd company Infamous Pictures, which would focus solely on writing and producing features, short films, music videos, and documentaries. In late 2013, Steven left his position at the AFL-CIO to work with Mark Leisher Productions in Bethesda, MD as a DP and Editor. Infamous Pictures and Mark Leisher Productions have also formed a new film production company, DC Visionaries.
