Biography

Tyler Weaver is a Cleveland-based filmmaker and new media producer with a particular interest in how digital filmmaking and internet distribution can transform the competition for eyes and ears. Working with the Mary Ferrell Foundation, his credits include "The Fourteen Minute Gap," "Withheld in Full: Morley V. CIA," and "Unredacted - The Video Interviews" in addition to a number of promotional films. For these projects, Tyler took on numerous roles, including writer, director, producer, editor, composer, cinematographer, and voice over artist, and he conducted more than 50 hours of interviews with noted authors and historians. Independent of the Foundation, Tyler has produced music videos for NYC-based composer Francesca DiGiovanna, and in April, 2009, released his first feature-length film, the music documentary, "Gather 'Round the Mic," filmed in Cleveland and featuring an international cast of musicians. These days, Tyler is focused on writing and developing three features - two narrative pictures and a new documentary. He is a regular contributor to Pulptone.com, and is the founder and EIC of Multi-Hyphenate, which features writings and contributions from the new wave of filmmakers, photographers, comic book creators, musicians, and writers as they navigate the waters of the new media landscape.
