John DiThomas

John was born on May 29th 1978 to Mary and Lawrence DiThomas. He began filmmaking at an early age, making movies with his father's VHS camera. After High School, John began attending acting classes, he then began taking classes at Bunker Hill Community College. It was through his journalism class at Bunker Hill that he met a local radio deejay named Billy Costa. Billy Costa offered him an internship at Kiss 108fm, a popular local radio station. John stayed at the station for a several years working in the News and Entertainment Section of the station. John transfered from Bunker Hill Community College to Salem State and then to Emerson College. He graduated from Emerson College in 2007. After graduation he teamed up with Matthew Parola to start Rough Water Films. They began producing and directing several short films and collaborating with some extremely talented filmmakers in and around Boston. There is a current influx of film productions that are being done in Massachusetts and John and his team are looking to step in at the ground floor.
