Steven was born in 1965 in Hertfordshire, England. He attended Brunel University from 1984-88 to read Law and Psychology and subsequently attended the College of Law in Guildford from 1988-89. He qualified as a Solicitor in 1990 and practiced as a corporate lawyer from 1990-2008. Steven wrote his first feature length screenplay in 1992 and wrote another five between that year and 2003, two of which were optioned by UK film production companies. Steven wrote and directed Man In A Box in 2006 then worked on the post production for the movie whilst working full time as a lawyer in 2007. 2008 has so far seen Steven working full time setting up MBX Productions as well as writing and developing his second and third feature films, '1595' and 'Always'.
