Joseph Arnone

Biography

Joseph Arnone was born in New York City. He began his artistic pursuits by making short films from an early age and regularly attending the movie theater. Joseph's interest in film also grew into Theatre, directing theatre productions in New York City with a mixture of modern and classical playwrights, as well as his own original material. During this time, he worked as an assistant director and script reader for the companies CBS Television Network in New York and Sony Studios in Los Angeles, California. On his return back to New York from Los Angeles, Joseph worked on film projects such as Disconnected, A Certain Darkness and shorter plays such as The Weaker performed at The American Theatre of Actors produced by Le Wilhelm of Love Creek Productions. His original play Jasper The Whale began as a reading at The Michael Chekhov Theatre before it was staged for production under Joseph's direction at The Manhattan Theatre. Joseph has since taken his directing mainly unto film. His short films Adeline and A Peace of Autumn with British actress Daniella Alma as the lead protagonist, was accepted and screened at Tribeca Cinemas for The Big Apple Film Festival and accepted at the 66th and 67th Annual Festival De Cannes Short Film Corner as well as other festivals worldwide. His films have contained the themes of self-reflection. Involving circumstances around the darker side of human nature, with characters who tend to confront their past. His characters are often emotionally distant and caught inside their own inner struggle.
