Alanna Blair (they/them) specializes in the unexpected.
You may have seen Alanna going in for the kill on The Blacklist's The Kazanjian Brothers (No. 156/157) (2020), or teaching a painful lesson in New Amsterdam's Pilot (2018). Dig deeper and you'll find characters like a reptilian bassist (Lower East Asides (2020)), a volatile recovering addict (Spring Street (2017)), and an industry con artist inspired by Marie Castaldo (Even Just (2020)). Alanna co-wrote and performed in the thriller Prime Matter (2018); shot in 2018, it eerily portrays life mid-evacuation of New York City infected with an airborne contagion.
Alanna's stunt career began with doubling, and has progressed to action acting and stunt driving.
Stage projects include "Above Us," a devised two-character rooftop drama (New York Fringe Festival), and "The Waste Land" (Edinburgh Fringe Festival).
Alanna sports a BFA from CalArts, with New York training from Clark Middleton's Apartment 929, Brad Calcaterra's Studio, and The Barrow Group.
Alanna produces and djs dance music as TGRbass, and is a vocalist/bassist of the bands Just Fabulous, Sumpumps, and Sababa.
