Pete began his career as a gopher buying beer for rock bands in MTV's studios on the west side of Manhattan in the early 1990's. Finding that to be much more interesting than his previous internship at a bank, he decided to stay. During a six year stint at the network Pete moved through the ranks from errand boy up to producer where he honed his producing and directing skills on a variety of projects including The MTV Beach Houses, MTV's Ski Houses (yeah - it was tough), Rock N' Jock, the Video Music Awards and daytime video shows like Rude Awakening and Jams. He had a hand in developing shows also like Say What? Kareoke (I know, you've never heard of it) and TRL (that, you have heard about).
Feeling confident, Pete left the nest and broke out on his own. Leontine Pictures was formed with a fax machine and some other office supplies he swiped on his way out the door from MTV. As luck would have it, this new independent producer was immediately swamped with calls for a variety of great new television projects from MTV. Sometimes it's hard to say goodbye. But eventually he moved on and made new contacts all over the television landscape.
As a producer and director, Pete has created a wide range of documentaries, television specials and projects for video for clients ranging from MTV and VH-1 to Radio City Entertainment and WE: Women's entertainment to The Food Network and Fine Living Networks.
Pete has interviewed and directed hundreds of celebrities and public figures including The Rolling Stones, P. Diddy, The Radio City Rockettes, Martin Scorcese and Eminem.
He's also produced music videos, commercials, concerts, public service announcements and even an exercise tape.
