Tomas Vynikal started to make movies when finishing the elementary school. In 2005-2006, he was accepted by the photograph Tomas Vazan as his disciple. In autumn of 2006, during the Academia film Olomouc festival, he met the producer Norbert Theo Auerbach, from whom he received an invaluable guidance regarding the production of the documentary A Hospital at World's End (2008, directed by Otakar Sterba). Tomas also edited and co-produced this documentary, selected among the 41 best 2009 movies on mountains at the Trento Film Festival in Italy. The documentary was screened at the following film festivals: The International Mountain Film Festival of Autrans, France 2009; Mountain Film Festival Zakopane, Poland 2010; International Festival of Moutnain Films Poprad, Slovakia 2010 and won the following awards: Special award for Film Interpretation of Outstanding Humanitarian Project - International Festival of Outdoor Films, Czech Republic 2008; Prize of the Town Teplice nad Metuji - International Mountaineering Film Festival in Teplice nad Metuji, Czech Republic 2010 and Honorable Mention - International film festival TUR Ostrava, Czech Republic 2009.
In 2007, Tomas co-founded the Student Television at Palacky University in Olomouc, and directed it during one year. In September 2008, he was admitted as director of photography and reporter at the news server Aktualne.cz. Then he initiated the collaboration with the Czech Television for the Kosmopolis and Dobre rano s Jednickou TV shows (as author theme and production). In 2009, he started to study film production at the Tomas Bata University in Zlin, where he collaborated on the production and dramaturgy of the ecological cartoon movie Posledni blboun (2011, directed by Jiri Novak). The movie was screened at the following festivals: Neisse-Filmfestival, Germany 2012; International Environmental Film Festival - Envirofilm, Slovakia 2012; International Festival of Sustainable Development Films - ekotopfilm, Slovakia 2012; IFF Water, sea and oceans, Hluboka nad Vltavou, Czech Republic 2012 and International Film Festival on the Environment and Natural and Cultural Heritage, Czech Republic 2011.
Besides film making, he publishes in the Priroda, Vesmir, Nase priroda and other magazines. He is also engaged in environment: preservation.
