Biography

Qinti (Juan Cortés) is a young Chilean director who makes productions that are motivated by diversity, social responsibility, awareness and the science of well-being, as well as the desire to share the cultural richness that South America has to offer to the world. He has directed the shorts Elena (2008) and Paula (2009), and in early 2010 he filmed the experimental fiction/documentary Valparadaise, awarded at SANFIC. In 2012, he went to Australia participating in a tour with musicians Óscar Jiménez and Manu Chao, and in 2014 he published his first book "Assume the look of our cinema". In 2019 he released Taller de Video an 8 episodes web TV series filmed in Valparaíso. He currently lives in Switzerland and works on multiple projects including the new series "Muerto clandestino". @qinti.creative
