Biography

Mike Hallenbeck is a sound designer and composer active in film, animation, ads, branding, industrials, games, apps, and VR. He thrives on collaboration, and welcomes the opportunity to share the excitement of audio that inspires and communicates. From voiceover recording to sound edit/ design, Foley, audio restoration, custom music, ADR and final mix, Hallenbeck's studio Junior Birdman Audio offers comprehensive sound services to storytellers in all media. The studio is located in the heart of Northeast Minneapolis' Arts District. Get in touch for a personalized tour. Hallenbeck's creations have been supported by the American Composers Forum, featured on Minnesota Public Radio, blogged upon by Walker Art Center and McGinley Motion, and acclaimed by Lavender Magazine. He serves on the Museum of Portable Sound's Board of Directors. He is bald. When not busy working on a project, Hallenbeck can usually be found working on some other project. Failing that, he also enjoys playing with his cats, perfecting his chili recipe, and riding his bike during the 45 minutes of Minnesota weather that permits it during any given year.
