Biography

Salih Mohammed Younus Sheikh was born on 27th May 1988 at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Windsor, UK. His father was a businessman, who started a successful company from scratch having left his homeland of Pakistan in 1970 and moved to London, while his mother was a housewife. Salih attended Eton College, where he started his involvement in the stage and in film, shooting his first short film and playing the roles of Frederick Dallas/Phillip Brent in a stage production of 'Noises Off'. He subsequently moved on to Homerton College, University of Cambridge, pursuing a BA (Hons) degree in Modern and Medieval Languages (Italian and German), where he continued to make short films and was nominated Vice-President of Cinecam (The Cambridge Film-Maker's Society). During the holidays of his first couple of years there, he assisted Director and Writer Jian Cyrus Farhoumand in shooting his film 'The Night is Young' in Brighton, undertaking a variety of roles behind the camera and also playing a small part in front of the camera.
