Adam was born in Israel and raised in the United States by an American father and Iraqi-Israeli mother. Both of Adam's biological parents passed away at an early age; his mother died when Adam was only a year old and his father died when he was 25 years old. Adam was adopted by his father's second wife who raised Adam as her own child.
Early on, Adam pursued a career in entertainment after a scouting agent saw a picture of Adam on his father's desk. Adam appeared in some magazines, feature films and produced some short content. At one point he worked for prolific film producer Bob Simonds and his studio STX Entertainment, who he considers to be a mentor.
He also had a brief career in finance working for legendary brokerage firm, Merrill Lynch. He described his time as a broker as being very limiting to he really is. Saying that the firm was "very stuffy" and that he didn't want to be in a tie and suit every day.
Adam is openly gay, and has been married to his husband since 2018.
