Diana Montenegro García

Filmmaker graduated from Universidad del Valle (Colombia) with a workshop in Documentary of the All-Russian State University of Cinematography - VGIK (Moscow). Currently she is studying the Master in Theory and Practice of Creative Documentary at the Universidad Autónoma in Barcelona. Her first short film 'Sin decir nada'(2007) reaches more than 3 million visitors in you tube and participated in more than 30 film festivals with recognitions such as the Audience Award and the Excellence Award at the Tokyo Video Festival (2009) and the India Catalina Award at the Cartagena International Film Festival (2008). It was official selection at Miami Short Film Festival (2009), Phoenix Film Festival (2008), Guadalajara (2008), ISFF Hollywood (2008), Input(2008), Interfilm (2009), among others. In 2012, she released her short film 'Magnolia' (35 mm) with the support of the Film Development Fund and the FGAAV (Colombia). It was official selection at Sao Paulo SFF, Molodist IFF, Vladivostok, Moscow SFF, Grand OFF Warsaw Independent Film Awards, La Hora del Corto - La Habana, Biarritz, among others. She has participated in different film workshops such as the Talent Campus Guadalajara (2009) and the Diploma of Creative Documentary - Ateliers Varan at the Universidad del Valle (2013). (2014) She is in promotion of her documentary 'Whisper from a birch' (Russia- Colombia)and in development of her debut feature film.
