Joey Salvia began to perform in night clubs before he was able to legally drink in them. After years on the road with various bands, acting, a few odd jobs, and working as a mobile disc jockey, Salvia, took an overnight job hosting his own radio show on 92.7 WLIR, Long Island, NY. He later became part of The Michael Kay Show, heard everyday on ESPN Radio in New York City. Joey writes and performs jingles, comedy bits, and theme songs that are well known on New York City/ Tri-State area radio airwaves. Born in Brooklyn, Joey taught himself to play the guitar, bass, piano, and has been writing songs for as long as he can remember. He has written a popular Christmas song (Christmas Lights), as well as many parodies and themes for famous sports figures. He once wrote and recorded a rock opera with a home recorder. Joey began acting as a child in community productions and on college stages. His first professional job was as a model for a series of educational text books. He was 13 years old. Salvia, was also the lead singer- bassist for The Montgomery Cliffs and now releases albums on his own label, Songs In A Nutshell. Joey Salvia has been seen on TV, playing along side of Gov. Mike Huckabee, and his many musical guests. One of his most popular songs has been heard for 10 years on Espn 1050-AM (The Michael Kay Show Theme). In addition to his work on stage and TV, Salvia has also been a voice over producer for ESPN,NY. Joey is both a SAG and AFTRA performer. He is also a voting member of The Recording Academy.
