Claudia G. Covarrubias is a Mexican filmmaker graduated from the National school of cinematographic arts and sciences, she also has a bachelor's degree in communications from the National University of Mexico and a Diploma as a Content Developer from the Pontificial Javeriana University of Bogotá, Colombia. She was alumni of the German filmmaker Doris Dörrie at the creative writing workshop and has been selected in the 8th International Documentary Masterclass Interdoc (Serbia) with the filmmaker Dragan Elcic. Her passion of storytelling and filmmaking has drove her to written and direct ten narrative and documentary short-films, selected in film festivals such as Latin-American Film Festival from Sao Paulo, River Film Festival from Podova Italy, Guadalajara International Film Festival from Mexico) and exhibited in Art Galleries such as The Chalton Gallery in London at the Mexi-Kino exhibition: Explode Arts Tower of Babel. Claudia gained great experience producing and editing films, TV series and commercials so years later she create documentary TV series and advertising campaigns with social focus for NGOs. One of her first opportunities as a director was in music videos and since then she enjoy filming them. Her humanitarian vein has lead her to found Cine Bajo Eli Cielo, a non-profit organization that produce audiovisual content to generate social and environmental awareness.
