Emily C. Kwong

Emily Kwong is owner and head music editor at Papercranes Music, an IATSE signatory company. A Los Angeles(ish) native with a keen, sensitive ear, Emily studied Clarinet Performance at USC and Cal Arts under David Howard (LA Phil) and William Powell, with a focus on modern music. During her studies, she took a quick interest in orchestration, and that affection, combined with her love of puzzles and untangling necklaces, made the perfect base for her appreciation of the art of music editing. Emily has been a member of Local 700 since 2007 and created the IATSE signatory, Papercranes Music, in 2016. Papercranes Music focuses on collaboration, creativity, and efficiency while working closely with composers and editorial teams. Emily loves to laugh, read novels written by women, walk in nature, eat cheese with new world reds and is also somewhat clumsy.
