Born in 1974, successful artist Bertug Cemil was originally born in Bursa. His mother is Lale Hanim and his father is Cetin Bey. After completing his primary education in Bursa, he graduated from Istanbul Erkek High School. His first instrument was the Casio MT-800 Org. His first guitar is a Bulgarian acoustic guitar from his mother's childhood. He stepped into music with his first music group named Charon, and then turned to rock music thanks to Deep Purple. He performed his first concert experience with the Charon group in Bursa, but the group later disbanded. He discovered Ray Vaughan at the age of 15 and turned to the Blues. He entered the Department of Journalism at Istanbul University in 1992, but with his interest in music and Cengiz Koroglu, whom he met in class, he started his active music career in Engin Yorukoglu's Jazz-Stop. Bertug Cemil, who is living a quiet life outside of the stage life, is married to Esra Candan and has a son named Korel from this marriage.
