Biography

Marija Omaljev-Grbic, also known as Mara Omaljev, is known for Ruza Vjetrova (2011), Lud Zbunjen Normalan (2007-2019) and Halima's Path (2012). Marija was interested in art, poetry, acting, painting and writing since childhood. Her first performance was in the Elementary school when she was in fifth grade. She continued acting in high school plays as well as in the Rovinj's theater Gandusio. She was accepted to the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo where she earned MA in Acting. Marija performed in the plays of Moliere, Gogol, Sidran, Popovic, Williams, Camus, Shakespeare etc. on the main stage of the National Theater Sarajevo and starred as a leading actress in more than 600 episodes in numerous Croatian and Bosnian TV Series and Sitcoms, as well as in German, Austrian, US, Turkish, Bosnian and Croatian Feature Films.
