Rhett Rossi

Biography

Former actor turned playwright, Rhett Rossi used the pseudonym Richard Taylor for his play "In God's Hat" which was reviewed by the NY Times as in a word: Terrific. He used the pseudonym because he also acted in the piece. His play "From Red to Black" was runner up in the Laurents/Hatcher Foundation for emerging U.S. playwrights. Mr Rossi transitioned from actor to playwright with the keen eye and help of his mentor Kevin Kittle, Associate head of acting at Rutgers Mason Gross school of the arts. For over two decades they've developed plays, readings, and workshops. Mr Rossi was listed on 2017's Hollywoods Top 100 new writers. He has developed at both HBO and FX. For HBO he developed his pilot about minor league hockey. For FX he scripted an animated comedy about a domesticated Gorilla with low self-esteem trying to function in society. Of which he can relate. Too much.
