Biography

Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, Catherine Lonsdale is an actress and writer who now calls Vancouver, B.C. home. She started performing from a young age and has established herself as a versatile talent, with strengths in both humor and heartbreak onscreen. Catherine began her career as a dancer, graduating from the Full-Time Professional Dance Program at ed5 International, Sydney, Australia. She then went on to study acting at the Actor's Centre Australia and The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, UK. Her screen credits include Home & Away, Deadly Women and most recently, she played cheeky cow-rancher, Tess McLaury, in the all-female re-imagining of the infamous Gunfight at the OK Corral, in "Last Stand to Nowhere". Her notable theatre roles include: Helena in 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', Mary Haines in 'The Women', Saleria in 'Merchant of Venice', Estelle in 'No Exit' and Westmorland in an adapted production of Henry IV & V Part I and II. Catherine is an avid horse-rider, ukulele player and Survivor enthusiast.
