Yamac Okur

Yamaç Okur studied Political Science and International Relations at Bogazici University in Istanbul. Being one of the founders of acclaimed Altyazi Cinema Magazine, he worked at various positions at Bogazici University Mithat Alam Film Center between 2003 and 2013 and contributed the institutionalization of the Film Center. He served at the executive board of Mithat Alam Educational Foundation between 2008 and 2013. His producer career has started in 2017 (one of the founders of Bulut Film established in 2007 together with Nadir Öperli, Enis Köstepen and Seyfi Teoman). His films as producer were very successful at the international festival circuit. Being one of the founders of New Cinema Movement in Turkey, Yamac Okur actively participated to the Istanbul Film Festival Meetings on the Bridge as one of the members at the Advisory Committee between 2008 and 2013. He served as one of the members of Support Committee for Feature Films at the Ministry of Culture between 2013-2015. He is a board member at the Turkish Film Producers Association (SE-YAP). Since March 2015, he is also working as an executive producer in Ay Yapim, one of the leading production companies in Turkey and he has a production company "Yaz Film" that he is currently developing feature film projects.
