Leonardo Michael Warner was born in the Spanish region of Andalusia. He shares dual citizenship with the United States and Italy. Growing up, he was fascinated with blockbusters such as the 1975 classic "Jaws" and 1993's "Jurassic Park", and was determined to pursue a career in filmmaking. He cites Steven Spielberg, Darren Aranofsky, Quentin Tarantino, and Federico Fellini as his biggest influences. Warner studied Art and film history before receiving formal production training in Winter Park FL, graduating in 2004 with an (AS) degree in film and television production. Warner got his start working on film sets as a production assistant and as a grip in the electrical departments. His first job out of film school was on the indie film "Southern Belles" starring Anna Faris (Scary Movie) and Justin Chambers (Grey's Anatomy). In 2009 Leonardo wrote and directed his first short film, a bio-drama about the artist Michelangelo's discovery by the powerful Medici family in Renaissance Florence. In 2016 Leonardo wrote, directed and produced his first full-length feature, "Madhouse Mecca". The film was produced, shot and edited entirely in the Virginia Beach area where he resided at the time. It was produced on a shoestring budget and shot in only three weeks.
