With well over a decade working in development and producing independent feature film, some highlights of Mr. Sergi's career cross several mediums, genres and platforms. His first Producer credit, PASTOR BROWN, the Directorial debut of Rockmond Dunbar and starring Michael B. Jordan, broke records when it premiered on Lifetime. Since then, he has worked with the likes of Jada Pinkett-Smith, developed and created original content for the non-scripted cable channels TLC, Destination America, LMN, and more. While still producing independent features, Mr. Sergi produced a Kansas-based drama starring Emmy-Award Winner Joseph Pantoliano (The Sopranos, Bad Boys 1-3), Elaine Hendrix (Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll, The Parent Trap), and Rockmond Dunbar (Prison Break, Sons of Anarchy).
Currently, Mr. Sergi is in post-production on several projects including a sports documentary directed by former NFL Steeler, Rashard Mendenhall, and a micro- budget supernatural thriller, "Portal". He also produced a digital series for "Essence, A Luv Tale: The Series", based on the hit short film, featuring an all-star ensemble cast including Vanessa Williams (Soul Food: The Series), Rotimi (Power), Tanairi Vazquez (Broadway's Hamilton), Victor Williams (Kings of Queens) as well as Wyclef Jean scoring the project. The pilot episode made a surprise screening at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival and again at the 2019 Pan African Film Festival. The official release will be announced at the 2019 Essence Festival.
Most notably, Sergi Executive Produced the dark thriller, "I'm Just F*cking With You" with Blumhouse (Get Out, Split), that made its World Premiere at the 2019 SXSW Film Festival where Variety reported it as being 1 of the 11 buzz worthy films to come out of SXSW (alongside Jordan Peele's US), before being released wide via Hulu on April Fools' Day to much fanfare.
