After graduating Monticello High School in 2001, Alaina Bendi attended Monmouth University where she double majored in Music with a concentration in Music Industry as well as Communications with an emphasis in Television production and a minor in film.
During her tenure at Monmouth she was very involved in her music where she took part in many ensembles and theatre orchestra performances. Over her few years there, she grew more intense in writing music. One of her pieces, "Michaela's Lullaby" was performed by the University Orchestra in the Spring of 2004. Later that year she won the Music Departments award for Outstanding Achievements in Departmental Achievements in Instrumental Music.
Alaina wanted to work in the music industry but knew it was tough to break in, so while in school, her and a friend started their own music management and concert production company called Oceanside Productions. Within a month they had clients calling out to them for their business. They at one given time were managing 4 bands and booking shows. Alaina solely produced a concert with 5 bands playing that was a great success.
Aside from music, Alaina was extremely focused on her career goals. She wanted to produce and direct films, so she emerged herself in the communications department, making many student films, documentaries and music videos. While in school, she discovered the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and decided to join. This only led her to amazing networking opportunities which led her to great places.
The films Alaina made at Monmouth got her accepted to a competitive film program at University of Southern California. This program sharpened her skills as a producer and a director and provided her an amazing opportunity to study with some of the best professors at the top film school in the country.
Alaina is the Director of Production and Special Projects at Center for Communication where she Produce and Directs a prime time show called Media City: Inside the Industry (2008).
